Well, I haven't finished the birthday posts yet, but with Bennett now getting the stomach flu that I had and the looking for a rental to move into, things are busy as usual! We found a new place to rent over the weekend and believe it or not, we are going to move in May 12. No wasting time around here. It is in town vs. living in the country like we are now, but I am optimistic that it is going to be good for us. Jeromy will be closer to work, and he is really wanting to get more involved in the community, meet neighbors, and build into the lives of the people around us. We are moving into a duplex, so we will have REALLY close neighbors to meet!
6 days after we move in, I am going to fly to Minnesota with the kids to visit a dear friend that I haven't seen in 5 years. Her husband is going out of town, so I will get to keep her company while he is gone. We are excited about all the new things ahead, and please pray that everything goes smoothly. It is going to take very careful planning to get this all to work out, and we need a large dose of God's perfect timing.

I'm glad you found a place to live, and it can definitely be convenient living in town. Both Kevin and I grew up in the country (and I loved it!), but don't see ourselves raising a family in the country, for the very reasons you gave. (Proximity to Kevin's work--eventually anyway!, being part of a community and reaching out to others, etc. There is so much need in the city.)
Remind me, are you looking to buy a home again? I'm either forgetting your plan or maybe I didn't know in the first place. :)
No, we are selling our house to become debt free and are going to save up to put a significant amount of money down before we jump into the market again. We are thinking of doing some investment real estate. Maybe buying a place, living in it for 2 years and then using it as a rental and buying another place and doing the same thing. Really, we are just getting ourselves to a place where the Lord can tell us to jump and we can ask how high.
